Fannie Mae released its August 2013 National Housing Survey showing that Americans are well attuned to the direction in which the housing market is moving. The survey revealed that the outlook for housing has hit a plateau by consumers, most likely due to concerns of the potential tapering of the Federal Reserve’s asset purchases. The survey said that consumers expected housing prices to continue to rise, but at a reduced rate of 3.4%.
